Schedule Changes-Fall 2026

(Must be on your District Google Account)

Please use the QR code to complete this form if you are needing a schedule change.

Reasons to get a schedule change are:

-Need a Course to fulfill Graduation Requirements

-Missing a Period, 7 periods a day

-Have 2 classes in the same period, EXCEPTION is HS Orientation and Health

-Retaking a Class you have previously passed

-Two of the same classes

-Taking a class at DACC/NMSU

-Need a Class to complete a CTE pathway

-No Requests to change TEACHERS or LUNCH PERIODS

-DEADLINE to submit a form is August 6.

If you are interested in an athletic period, the HEAD Coach must send an email directly to the counselor and you must be cleared in RANK ONE. In order to drop a course you will need teacher approval. There will only be one submission per student, therefore make sure the form is filled out correctly.

As GISD transitions away from Remind, ParentSquare will become our new districtwide communication platform for school and district messages. At the same time, we are transitioning from PowerSchool to Synergy, which will provide families and students access to ParentVUE and StudentVUE.

To support our families during this transition, we have created a Family Information Hub that includes videos, step-by-step instructions, frequently asked questions, and additional resources.

Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with these resources. We ask all employees to help direct parents and guardians to the Family Information Hub whenever questions arise.

Key reminders:

• ParentSquare will become GISD’s primary communication platform.

• Parent and guardian accounts will be created automatically using information maintained in Synergy.

• ParentVUE and StudentVUE will provide access to grades, attendance, schedules, and other important student information.

• Additional training and support opportunities will continue to be offered throughout the summer.

Our collective support will help ensure a smooth transition for students, families, and staff members.

Mientras Gadsden ISD se prepara para el año escolar 2026–2027, nos complace lanzar oficialmente los recursos que apoyarán dos importantes transiciones del distrito.

Mientras GISD deja de utilizar Remind, ParentSquare se convertirá en nuestra nueva plataforma distrital de comunicación escolar y comunitaria. Al mismo tiempo, estamos realizando la transición de PowerSchool a Synergy, el cual proporcionará a las familias y estudiantes acceso a ParentVUE y StudentVUE.

Recordatorios importantes:
